These terms are written to be clear and fair. We're a startup and we want a straightforward relationship with our users. If anything changes — especially around pricing — we'll always tell you in advance.

01 Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Vyme mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

02 About Vyme

Vyme is a personal finance tool that converts your income and hours worked into a time-based currency, helping you evaluate spending in terms of your own time. It is provided by Vyme App, registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

03 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vyme (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Vyme is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

04 Your account and data

Vyme currently operates without requiring an account. All data you enter (income, hours, spending, savings) is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the security of your device and all data entered into the App.

We are not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or uninstalling the App. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

05 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law
  • Attempt to interfere with the App's functionality or security
  • Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it
  • Use the App on behalf of another person without their consent

06 Free tier and future paid plans

Vyme is currently free to use. As a startup, we may introduce optional paid features in the future. Our commitment to you:

  • We will give you advance notice before any paid plan is introduced
  • We will never charge you without your explicit consent
  • Core functionality will remain accessible or we will clearly communicate any changes

If paid plans are introduced, separate pricing terms will be presented to you at that time and will form part of these Terms.

07 Intellectual property

All content within the App — including the Vyme name, logo, design, software, and copy — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Data you enter into the App remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.

08 Disclaimers

Vyme is a personal awareness tool. It is not financial advice, investment advice, or a regulated financial service. Calculations are based solely on data you manually enter.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use the App at your own risk.

09 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the preceding 12 months (currently £0, as the App is free).

10 Termination

You may stop using Vyme at any time by deleting the App. We reserve the right to suspend access if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will provide reasonable notice where possible.

11 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes — particularly anything affecting your rights or introducing costs — we will notify you before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
